Role: Project Manager 

Role Description: Our client is seeking a Project Manager / Client Representative to oversee the establishment and operationalization of a Shared Services model that will support a portfolio of family-owned non-profit entities. The objective is to transition current internal support functions into a centralized structure that enhances efficiency, consistency, and service quality across entities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

Lead the program

  • Lead the overall program plan, governance, and milestones for the setup of shared services in coordination
  • Manage cross-functional workstreams (Procurement, HR, IT).
  • Lead the requirement gathering and validation process across all subsidiaries to define business, functional, and governance requirements
  • Serve as the main point of contact between us and the JV Outsourcing Company

Contracting of JV

  • Work with legal, finance and strategy to ensure that the Master Services Agreement establishes clear performance, cost, and accountability structures
  • Act as business lead providing input on service scope, KPIs, governance clauses
  • Ensure that the Operating Agreement defines transparent decision-rights, escalation, and other critical mechanisms;

Co-design and validate the shared services model

  • Define business and functional requirements for each service area (Procurement, HR, IT) working with relevant function leaders
  • Translate business requirements into service design inputs, ensuring these are accurately captured by JV Outsourcing Company
  • Challenge and validate JV Outsourcing Company process designs, technology stack, service catalogues, and performance metrics.
  • Define future-state processes and digital enablers aligned with best practices
  • Ensure interoperability with existing ERP and digital platforms (current and future).

Governance and risk management

  • Develop/detail the Shared Services Governance Framework (decision rights, SLAs, escalation protocols, reporting cadence).
  • Set up performance dashboards, risk registers, and compliance mechanisms.
  • Support performance management and value realization frameworks.

Capability building

  • Help define key capabilities required from our side
  • Define our internal organization structure to sustain service oversight post-implementation (service owners, vendor management, analytics).
  • Transfer knowledge to permanent staff and help build governance maturity.

Innovation and future enablement/future proofing

  • Identify AI and automation use cases within shared services (e.g., generative AI for procurement analytics, predictive finance reporting, digital assistants for HR queries).
  • Work with provider and internal IT/Digital teams to create a roadmap for progressive automation.

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Duration: 6 months

Capacity: Full-time (5 days/week)

Requirements:

  • To be based in the UAE 
  • Previous ERP experience 
  • Proven experience in shared services design
